
Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd today announced the launch of its new FMX model as part of its growth plan in Malaysia.
The rugged, new Volvo FMX is designed and built specifically for heavy utilisation in construction, mining, forestry and oil & gas industries.

Speaking at the launch of the Volvo FMX in Shah Alam, Mr Mansoor Ahmed, Volvo Malaysia Managing Director said: “Malaysia is an important market to the Volvo Group and with our vast network across East and West Malaysia, Volvo Malaysia is committed to live up to its reputation to being the provider of the world’s best trucks and construction equipment solution.”
The new FMX is based on the very successful FM platform, which is well proven in demanding applications in Malaysia.

Following the launch, a handover ceremony was held where Mansoor presented the keys of the Volvo FMX trucks to Air Marine Sdn Bhd and Mega Brave Sdn Bhd for being the first customers to purchase the new trucks. Air Marine was represented by its Executive Director, Mr. Robert Chiew, while Mega Brave was represented by Mr. Calven Loo, its Managing Director.
